CAT A, B1 and B2 Requirements

LICENSED AIRCRAFT MAINTENANCE ENGINEERS (LAME) 

 

Programme Duration: 4 years

​

This is for Individuals that want to pursue a career as Licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineers (LAME) . Trainees are not required to have any substantial previous technical qualifications or experience.
 

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

  • At least 18 years of age

  • Attain at least grades C+ in English, Mathematics and Physics on A-level, Electrical and Electronic Fundamentals

  • Francophone Baccalaureate Series C, D, E, F

  • Have an IELTS score of 5.0 or above, or certification from an approved English pathway program

  • Student must be in possession of a valid National ID or International Passport

 

 

 

LAME TRAINING PRICING & DURATION

 

CAT A
 

This is a basic training module for mechanical technicians of Aircraft Maintenance and is delivered over 6 months.

​

Duration: 24 weeks total + 1 year intership in an approved MRO145.

 

Price: 

 

  • 4,257,500 FCFA or 6 500 Euro (training cost only)

  • Registration fees: 200.000 FCFA

  • Prices are charged for the entire course

CAT A Certification

Specializing in aircraft mechanics, including the maintenance and repair of non-complex aircraft, and small general  planes. Prior to CAT A, participants undergo a 3-week preparatory course.

CAT B2 Certification

Focused on avionics maintenance engineers and encompasses the maintenance of avionics systems, including communication, navigation, radar, and other electronic components.

CAT B1 Certification

Focused on aircraft maintenance engineers and includes the maintenance of aircraft structures, power plants, mechanical systems, and electrical systems.
